Why PurrNest?

Whether you are off on holiday, away on business or spending the winter abroad, the hardest part is rarely the packing. It is leaving your cat or dog behind. A cage in a noisy kennel block, unfamiliar sounds through the night and a different face every day can quickly wear out an animal that is used to the calm of home. We created PurrNest to take that worry away: a quiet, predictable place where your pet feels safe.

Our approach is simple: no cages, no stress. Every guest has a room of their own, a steady routine and a vet close at hand.

What stress-free boarding means in practice

• A private room for every guest. No cages, pens or shared kennels. Each cat and dog stays in its own bright, safe room.
• Completely separate cat and dog wings. Cats and dogs never come into contact, and because the areas are separate, stress from barking and unfamiliar scents is kept to a minimum.
• A calm daily routine. Meals, play, rest and care follow the same rhythm every day. Animals settle far more quickly when they know what comes next.
• 24/7 supervision. Day and night, our team keeps a caring eye on every guest.
• An in-house veterinarian. Our vet checks every guest on arrival and carries out regular check-ups throughout the stay.
• Home pick-up and drop-off. We can collect your pet from your door and bring them home again afterwards. We also offer pet transfers to and from Ercan Airport.
• Daily photos and videos. We send updates every day, and you can book a video call whenever you would like to see your pet live.

Cats and dogs need different things. Cats value quiet, hiding places and a high spot from which to watch the world, while dogs want movement, play and company. That is why each wing has its own daily routine, shaped around the nature of its guests.

Where we are

PurrNest is in Dikmen, on the main Kyrenia (Girne) to Nicosia road, just south of the pass through the Beşparmak mountains. Kyrenia town centre is approximately 15 minutes away, depending on traffic, and Nicosia is a short drive in the other direction. That makes us easy to reach from the coastal villages around Kyrenia and from the capital alike, and it is where we plan our Ercan Airport transfers from.

Who we look after

Alongside local families from Kyrenia and the surrounding area, we care for the pets of many British, Russian-speaking and other international residents. Some are going away for a short break, some spend the winter abroad and others travel regularly for work.

If you fly from Larnaca, there is one more thing to bear in mind: pets cannot cross the Green Line, so your companion needs a trusted place to stay in the north. That is exactly what PurrNest is here for. From a long weekend to a stay of several months, we plan every visit around your own pet's habits.
