East of Kyrenia: new homes and new beginnings
Çatalköy is a growing area east of Kyrenia, between the coast and the mountains. With its villas, homes on private sites and new developments, it is home to Cypriot families and to many people who have recently moved to Cyprus. For first-time boarders
For a cat or dog who has never spent time away from home, the first day can feel like a big adventure. A few suggestions:
- Before a long holiday, a short stay of a night or two helps your pet get to know us.
- Bring their usual food, a favourite toy and a blanket that smells of you.
- Tell us about their sleeping, feeding and play times and anything that frightens them — we keep their routine going here.
- At the end of the first day we send you photos and a video, and you can ask for a video call whenever you would like reassurance.
Every guest has a private, cage-free room of their own. Our cat and dog wings are completely separate, so your cat will not meet barking or dog scent. Our vet carries out the arrival check, with regular check-ups throughout the stay.
If you have recently moved to Cyprus, now is a good time to check your pet's vaccination records. For cats we ask for the combination vaccine and rabies; for dogs, the combination vaccine (DHPPi+L) and rabies. For cats, the rabies vaccine must be given at least 21 days before check-in and within the last 12 months. In North Cyprus dogs must also be microchipped and registered with the municipality. The journey and transfers
The drive from Çatalköy to Dikmen takes approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Çatalköy shares a transfer zone with Alsancak, Lapta and Esentepe. Home pick-up and drop-off is available here, and the cost is shown in your personalised quote. If you are flying from Ercan or Larnaca, we plan the transfer around your flight.
