Video Calls

Sometimes a photo isn't quite enough — you want to see your pet live and see for yourself how they are. On request, we arrange a video call with your pet during their stay. One of our team holds the phone, shows you your cat or dog and tells you how their day has gone.

When do we call?

We plan the call for a calm moment for your pet: not straight after a meal or in the middle of a nap, but when they are relaxed and awake. If you are in another time zone, we will find a time that works for you too. We usually suggest planning the first call once your pet has properly settled in, after the first few days, so that hearing your voice comforts rather than unsettles them.

Good to know

• You can request a call when you book or at any time during the stay.
• Calls are made via WhatsApp or the app you prefer.
• Some pets get excited when they hear their owner's voice, or go looking for you at the door. If that happens, we may suggest shorter or less frequent calls.
• Shy cats may show little interest in the screen; that is completely normal.

On long stays, regular video calls do you both good. For owners who spend the winter abroad, they are one of the nicest ways to feel a little closer.
