At the start of the Kyrenia road, very close to us
Gönyeli sits on the northern edge of Nicosia, right where the road to Kyrenia begins. The drive to Dikmen takes approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic, which makes it one of the easiest areas to reach us from. You can drop your pet off yourself on your way to Kyrenia or the coast — or, if you prefer, use our home pick-up and drop-off service. If you have both a cat and a dog, they can both stay with us; because the wings are separate, each enjoys its own calm surroundings.
The advantages of being close
- Last-minute plans: when a sudden work trip or family matter comes up, we do our best to help at short notice, subject to availability.
- Pets on medication: for guests on regular medication or insulin, it is easy to bring over a forgotten medicine or prescription food later. We follow your written instructions under our vet's supervision.
- A visit beforehand: with a little notice you can come and see our cage-free rooms and separate cat and dog wings before the stay.
- A short journey: for cats who dislike the car and excitable dogs, a short trip makes for a much calmer first day.
- Easy collection: if you would like to collect your pet yourself at the end of the stay, it is only a short drive to call in; the check-out time is in your booking confirmation. Telling us about their routine at home — feeding times, favourite sleeping spot — helps us keep the same rhythm here.
Transfers and travel
Gönyeli shares a transfer zone with Nicosia. Home pick-up and drop-off is available here, and the cost is shown in your personalised quote. In summer we plan transfers for the cooler hours; all you need is a carrier or lead, the vaccination card, their usual food and any medication. If you are flying from Ercan, we time the pick-up around your flight. If you are flying from Larnaca, remember that pets cannot cross the Green Line — your companion stays with us until you are back.
