Guests from homes with gardens
West of Kyrenia, stretching between the sea and the mountains, Alsancak is known for its villas with gardens, green lanes and a large British and international community. Many cats here wander in and out of the garden all day, and many dogs are used to plenty of space to run. So when we welcome guests from Alsancak, we pay particular attention to their habits.
- Cats used to going outdoors get places in their room to climb and hide, and we fit playtime around their own rhythm.
- Dogs used to a garden keep their daily walks and play sessions, and for larger breeds we offer a garden suite.
- Our cat and dog wings are completely separate, so a cat who is wary of the neighbour's dog will not meet barking or dog scent here.
Pets who spend time in the garden meet fleas and ticks more often. That is why, as with all our guests, we ask for internal and external parasite treatment within about four weeks before check-in.
The journey and transfers
The drive from Alsancak to Dikmen takes approximately 20–25 minutes. As the route runs around Kyrenia, it can take longer in summer and at busy times. Alsancak shares a transfer zone with Lapta, Çatalköy and Esentepe; home pick-up and drop-off is available here and the cost is shown in your personalised quote. We plan the time with you, and in summer we prefer the cool of early morning or late afternoon. The preparation is simple: a carrier or lead, the vaccination card, their usual food and any medication.
Winters abroad and flights from Larnaca
Some Alsancak households spend part of the winter abroad, and many fly from Larnaca. Pets cannot cross the Green Line, so your companion needs a safe place to stay in the north.
